Originally from the Capital, Mri or ‘Elma Maria’ to immigration (it’s a long and unpronounceable story) left Pretoria to study at the picturesque University of Stellenbosch. Despite originally wanting to study the Dramatic or Visual Arts, Mri opted for BCom in Business Management with a side order of Marketing Management to scratch her creative itch. After enjoying a well-deserved summer break, this proud Matie joined the Cape Town QuirkStation as a graduate intern in January 2015 and then worked her way up to her current position as a Junior Campaign Manager.
Lover of olives, avo and good red wine, Mri describes her ideal day as ending with sundowners on the beach in Cape St Francis. Don’t be fooled by her friendly energy though, Mri's a tough cookie who doesn’t scare easily. Not only has she survived skydiving and a childhood bedroom covered in Olsen Twins posters but her 1st Intern Interview involved an impromptu performance of All that jazz for none other than Rob himself! All we know is – she’s one of us!
